International Students

Apply online no later than the first week of June. There is a $75 application fee. 

Once we receive the application, we will contact you to submit the following items:

• I-20 Information Form (We will provide this for you)
• Student Essay
• A copy of the score of ONE of the following English Proficiency Tests
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) – http://www.ets.org/toefl
  • iTEP/SLATE Test – www.iTEPexam.com
  • SSAT (unofficial score will be accepted) – www.ssat.org       
  • Duolingo English Test- http://englishtest.duolingo.com
• Your official school transcript (Must be translated into English).
• A copy of your passport
• Immunization Records

  Once we have received all of the documents, forms and fees, we will contact you to schedule an interview.  The interview will be with both the student and the parent(s). The purpose of the interview is to help determine the following items:

• Whether or not a parent has put faith in Jesus Christ through His death and resurrection.  If not, then we require the student to be placed with a Christian host family.
• The parents’ support for school policies and procedures.
• The student’s grasp and command of the English language.

Entrance Exam: With the exception of preschool, every candidate is required to complete an entrance exam before an acceptance decision can be made.  Kindergarten and 1st grade candidates will take an age-appropriate, observation-based assessment while 2nd-12th grade candidates will take a computer-based test which assesses math and reading ability. A "Meet and Greet" is required for all preschool candidates.

If the applicant meets all of The Christian Academy’s admissions requirements, he/she will be accepted and issued a contract for enrollment.  Once the contract is signed and a non-refundable deposit of $1,000 is paid, we will issue the I-20 form.

Once accepted, we will need the following:

• A copy of the F1 Visa
• A copy of the Health Insurance information.
• Host Family Information - If you want us to find a host family, we’ll need to be notified early in the process so that we can find a suitable home.  Generally, $1,500/month is paid directly to the host families that we provide.
• The remaining tuition balance ($19,900) needs to be paid in full before August 15th.
